Ten Pin Linky & Winner

Happy Sunday, my friends! Today I am linking up with Ashley from Just Reed for her Ten Pin Linky party. This weeks topic is classroom decor- a combination of my two favorite topcics (Pinterest and decor!). But first...Guess What....I won ANOTHER giveaway. This time it was from Tania at My Second Sense.  So awesome. I can't wait to pick out my new IPhone 5 case from Embellish Cases.

Now onto the Link Up.

I just love Melanie from Schoolgirl Style and Inspired in Style and this "mini-classroom" design is just so darn adorable. I love the Chevron and birdie combination. This year our school theme is Team/Sports, so I will just need to hang onto this idea for a future year.

This is Reagan's classroom from Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits. I can't say enough about this space. I sure wish my son could be in her classroom. It is so welcoming, her students are very, very lucky- she hasn't left one detail unattended.

This is just the sweetest idea. Not sure that I'd ever be able to do something like this at my current school since we do not have any walls, but I'd love to do something like this is the little guy's bedroom or playroom.

There is something about chalkboard and pastels that I'm really into. I'd like to have a space in my room that shares some inspirational quotes for teachers. These are geared towards students, but I'm sure I could tweak for my purposes.

Seems like I always have a plan to be organized and then I only follow through on about half of it. But, first on my list for this year is an organized desk area (at work and at home)

What a great way to remember words used by mentor authors. I believe that by putting the words right with the a picture of the text the children are more likely to remember the context of the word.

These are just adorable and would nicely compliment the chalkboard and pastels in the quote posters above.

Last year, a lot of the K/1 teachers at my school implemented The Daily Five for the first time. These posters would be a nice compliment for their launch lessons

I will definitely be using the CRAFT board from Ladybug's Teacher Files again this year. It was a great way to keep track of "I Can" statements related to the standards we taught and to set student goals.

I definitely have to snag up one of those great teacher binder sets offered on TPT and TN- I'm hoping a few great looking binders will keep me from misplacing important papers.

So there you have it, my Top 10 Pins related to classroom decor (and I guess I added in some classroom organization, too!) Hope on over to Just Reed to link up and see what other bloggers are pinning!

Bloglovin' & Currently

I know I have been MIA, but I am looking forward to getting this blog up and running again this summer. In preparation for doing so, I've made the switch over to Bloglovin and am following all of my blogs there. Come on by and follow me on Bloglovin, just click the pic below.

To get June started off right, I'm linking up with Farley for her June Currently. I love this link up, click on my Currently to head over to her blog and see the others who have joined up.

My Three Vacay Essentials

1) Switch flops- A friend of mine has these, and I have been talking about buying some. They are so darn cute and since it's summer I can wear them every day!

2) Sun Block- Well I live in Florida and have made the mistake before of going without, won't do that again.

3) My IPhone- I've got to keep up my Candy Crush addiction.

That's it for now. Can't wait to get back into blogging after next week!
